Memorain: Seven sacrifices
30/01/14 || gk
Formed in 1999, this is the 5th album from this Greek band and “Seven sacrifices is a solid dose of modern thrash. The band occasionally mixes modern groove and power metal into its thrash sound and it’s not a seamless blend. Also, the clean vocals are a little weak and probably the weakest link on this album. Having said that, “Seven sacrifices” is a pretty solid modern thrash offering. Songs like “The hour of death” and Bad wolf grew on me with repeated listens and the gruff thrash vocals fit in nicely with the music. Memorain do quite well on “Seven sacrifices” and if modern thrash influenced metal is your thing then there might be something here for you.
7/10: Decent modern metal.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
